Mantle Obstacle

When it comes to decorating our mantle, I have an obstacle. Two, actually.

We have these two vents that make it quite the challenge to style the mantle. To be quite honest, I’m not even sure what they are for and I’m usually just trying to hide them.
So, my latest way to do so was to buy a piece of foam, have it cut to the size I needed and then simply cover it with fabric.

I wrapped it like a gift and added some upholstery tacks for detail.

So simple to do & it can easily be updated seasonally.
