There is a blizzard on the way. Yep, full on whippin’ winds, 12+ inches of snow coming. Just in time for Christmas. I feel like a little kid – so excited about snuggling indoors, making Christmas goodies, watching favorite holiday movies and eventually going out with the boys to make a snowman family.
In preparation of a day indoors watching the snow come down I wanted to try making something I had seen on Pinterest a few weeks back.
Now, I’ve had my fair share of Pinterest fails but I am happy to say this one was a success.
I’ve seen them made a couple different ways but here’s what you need to make the ones shown here:
• 1 pkg Nutter Butters
• 1 bag white chocolate chips
• red hots
• red sugar sprinkles
• mini chocolate chips
• tube of frosting gel (optional)
Simply melt the white chocolate chips at a low temperature (set some aside for Santa’s hat). Carefully dip both ends of the Nutter Butter in the melted white chocolate and set on parchment paper. Sprinkle the top half with the red sprinkles and add a white chocolate chip as the ball of his hat. Place dots of either your tube of frosting or melted chocolate and add two mini chocolate chips for eyes and one red hot for a nose.
And there you have it – the cutest (and yummiest) Santa!
Super simple. The only problems I ran into was I discovered a love of Nutter Butters and I may have eaten a few along the way & I had a little helper that couldn’t keep his hands out of the ingredients. Success!
