The Love Project

June 08, 2015

Our youngest son is from China.
He waited for a forever family on a “special needs” list, as so many children do.

The sad truth is healthcare in China is vastly different than it is here and parents of children with medical conditions are often faced with the heart wrenching decision of either giving up their parental rights in hopes that their child will have a chance for life by someone else stepping in or to watch helplessly as they may not be able to provide the needed medical care.

Enter the Love Project.

When I first learned about this project, I was immediately touched that the goal behind it is family preservation and orphan prevention. Our family was completed with the adoption of our son and we are forever grateful to his mother for giving him life. But I often think of her and what situation our son was in.

Morning Star Foundation, Merdith Toering, and Ashley from Under the Sycamore just launched the Love Project, an online shop full of prints for purchase and download. Proceeds go to the Love Fund, providing assistance for families with CHD children that without help may be faced with some impossible decisions.

You can shop some amazing artwork and at the same time help to keep families together!
